APPLICATION

1. Used as Catalyst : in Xylene isomer, olefin, manufacturing of tetraethyl lead, carbonized diimine; Replacement catalyst of trialkyl boron and olefin, for producing ketene by high temperature dehydration of acetic acid; for the polymerization of styrene with conjugated dienes; If used in terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol polymerization, it can prevent fiber discoloration.
2. Used in synthetic resin : Flame retardant for polyester resins; Xylenol formaldehyde resin curing agent; Phenolic resin softener used in shell mold; Softener of vinyl chloride; Plasticizer of vinyl acetate polymer.
3. Used as Solvents : for Cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate solvents; Solvents used to maintain the life of organic peroxide catalysts; Solvent for ethylene fluoride dispersion; Peroxides and diluents used as curing catalysts for polyester and epoxy resins.
4. Used as Chlorine-based insecticides and stabilizers; Stabilizer of phenolic resin; Solid agent of sugar alcohol resin.

As flame retartardant in polyurethane, TEP is halogen free and with low viscosity used in a wide variety of formulations of rigid foams or board (PUR/PIR and Phenolic).
