The coating-grade sodium alginate is industrially modified by using ethylenediamine as a cross-linking agent, or subjected to an etherification reaction with cellulose, and then dried, crushed, sieved, and sprayed to obtain modified sodium alginate powder. Its 1~2% aqueous solution has excellent lubricity, stability, solubility, permeability and viscosity. Modified sodium alginate has been widely used in the field of building materials (real stone paint, putty powder, paint, bonding, plastering, plastering, etc.), and its excellent workability is currently not available in other building material additives.
