Brass Globe valves, also known as brass globe valves, are common pipe valves that are primarily used to control the flow of fluids. It is compact, durable and reliable, making it ideal for controlling media flow and isolation. Brass globe valve adopts linear flow channel design, when the valve disc is completely closed, it can provide reliable sealing effect and effectively block the flow of medium in the pipeline.
Brass globe valves are usually composed of body, valve cover, valve stem, valve core and sealing ring. Its working principle is that the valve stem drives the spool to move up and down along the guide ring, so that the end of the spool is separated or matched with the cone of the valve seat to complete the opening or closing of the valve. Brass materials are widely used in the manufacture of globe valves because of their good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
Brass globe valves play a key role in industrial piping systems, especially in situations where the medium needs to be cut off quickly to prevent leaks, such as fire fighting, water supply and drainage and other key piping systems. However, although brass globe valves may appear to regulate flow in some cases, they are not designed to do so. The adjustment range of the brass globe valve is limited and the accuracy is not high, and the semi-open and semi-closed state for a long time may lead to frequent friction between the valve disc and the seat, accelerate wear, and affect the sealing performance.
Brass globe valves are available in a variety of sizes for different fluid control systems. For example, a brass globe valve has a nominal pressure of 1.6MPa, the operating medium includes water, non-corrosive liquids and saturated steam (≤0.6MPa), the operating temperature range from -20℃ to 150℃, and the pipe thread standard conforms to ISO228.
When selecting a brass globe valve, its performance in a specific application should be considered, especially where frequent switching is required or where there are strict requirements for flow control. At the same time, attention should be paid to the maintenance and maintenance of the valve to ensure its long-term stable operation.
