Product Description

Safety relief pressure holding valve, also known as safety relief valve, is an important safety accessory for pressure equipment, when the medium pressure in the equipment or pipeline exceeds the set safety value, it can automatically discharge the internal medium to ensure the safety of the production device. Its reliability and performance are directly related to the safety of equipment and personal life, and are closely related to energy saving and environmental protection.

Safety relief valves can be divided into conventional, balanced and pilot operated. The conventional safety relief valve has a spring chamber connected with the discharge side, and its operating parameters are affected by the change of back pressure. The balanced safety relief valve reduces the influence of back pressure on operating parameters through pressure balancing bellows or pistons. The pilot operated safety relief valve is characterized by its main relief valve, which is controlled by a small spring relief valve with sensitive open and close characteristics, and is suitable for use where high pressure units relieve pressure substantially or where high back pressure and balanced design are required.

The main parameter of the safety relief valve is the displacement, which depends on the diameter of the seat and the opening height of the disc. According to the different opening height, the safety relief valve is divided into micro-opening and full-opening two kinds. The opening height of the micro-opening disc is 1/40 to 1/20 of the throat diameter of the seat, while the opening height of the fully opening disc is 1/4 of the throat diameter of the seat.

In addition, the safety relief valve also has some specific application scenarios and restrictions. For example, they are commonly used in the refining and processing industry to handle combustible, high-temperature or toxic media and to discharge the media to a safe place through a closed discharge system. However, they are not suitable for equipment with a stable superimposed back pressure or any equipment with a back pressure exceeding 10% of the set pressure.

Internationally, such as Japan, the safety valve and relief valve have a clear definition, usually used as a boiler such as a large energy storage pressure vessel safety devices called safety valves, and installed on the pipeline or other facilities called relief valves. Safety valves are required to be more reliable than blowoff valves.

Overall, the safety relief holding valve is a critical safety device suitable for a variety of industrial applications to ensure the safe operation of pressure systems.
