Product Description

A Wafer Check Valve, also known as a pinch check valve, is a valve used to control the flow of fluid and reduce or completely prevent potential backflow in a piping system. This valve is designed to automatically eliminate the backflow of fluid when the system is closed. The clamp check valve has a hinged disc (i.e. the clamp disc) that opens in only one direction and closes at back pressure to seal the valve and prevent fluid flow in the opposite direction. The clamp check valve requires a certain system fluid pressure to operate. The valve opens when the upstream pressure is greater than the downstream pressure, and closes when the downstream pressure is greater than the upstream pressure.

The pinch check valve has a space-saving design and unlike valves with a body, the pinch check valve has a molded body that provides full wiggle room for the disc to allow full flow through. This is important for applications that require full traffic.

In addition, there are specific requirements and recommendations for the installation, operation and maintenance of pinch check valves. For example, they should be installed between the flanges of the piping system to allow one-way flow of media and prevent backflow of media. Each valve has a label that provides information about the valve, and when transported and stored, the valve should be kept in its factory packaging until installed and used.

At the time of installation, it is necessary to ensure that the pressure level and material of the valve are consistent with the operating conditions, and that all internal surfaces of the valve should be free of dust, especially hard or sharp particles. The ends of the pipe must also be aligned and parallel.

Finally, all valves are final inspected by the manufacturer before leaving the factory and comply with EN12266-1. When pressure testing the valve in the system, the test pressure must not exceed 1.5 times the design pressure, and the valve plate must also be opened under the test pressure.
